Varicocele

Varicocele impairs the circulation of blood in the testes, causing and increase of temperature that might negatively affect spermatogenesis.
Varicocele does not automatically cause male infertility so in order to know if the male fertility is affected, we can simply run a semen analysis.
Varicocelectomy is the procedure performed on the testes to remove varicocele. It might have a positive impact on sperm production but it can also have a negative impact. So varicocelectomy is not recommended unless varicocele is very painful.
