Semen Analysis
Semen analysis is the first test performed in case of infertility. It allows us to analyze sperm concentration, motility, vitality and normal forms and decide on the required fertility treatment. If this test shows a concentration problem as oligospermia (<15 million/ml) or azoospermia (0M/ml) or a motility problem known as asthenospermia (progressive motility % less than 30%) or a morphology problem known as teratospermia (normal forms% <4), ICSI is generally recommended without wasting time on other fertility diagnostic tests. If the semen analysis is normal and yet the couple is having problems conceiving naturally, deeper investigations for female infertility problems should be conducted.
