The causes of low ovarian reserve are multiple. The main cause is aging, genetic factors, endometriosis and cancer treatment are also factors that have a significant negative impact on the ovaries.
Donor and Recipient synchronization
IVF with egg donation requires stimulating the donor's ovaries and retrieving her eggs, in synchronization with the uterine preparation of the egg recipient. This synchronization is easily achieved by starting the stimulation of the donor's ovaries on the same day of starting endometrial preparation of the recipient.
How do we choose the egg donor?
The choice of the egg donor depends on many factors: Her age must not exceed 30 years, she must have a good ovarian reserve, she must be healthy, she must not carry any sexually transmitted disease. The characteristics of her physical features must be close to those of the woman receiving the eggs. Her blood type must match the blood type of the couple who resorts to this operation.
